City police are yet to decide whether the proposed protests by Telangana activists and Samaikayandhra supporters here on September 7 should be allowed.
"No decision has been taken so far in this regard. It is still under consideration. Depending on the circumstances and the situation we will take a call," a senior police officer told PTI today.
The Osmania University Telangana Students JAC (OU-TSJAC) has given a call for second 'Million March' to oppose the public meeting called by Seemandhra protesters at L B Stadium on September 7.
The OU-TSJAC's march will start in front of L B Stadium and pass through Nizam College, Basheerbagh to Tank Bund on the same day.
The AP Non-Gazetted Officers Association and other Samaikayandhra groups and OU-TSJAC had earlier sought permission from the Central Zone Police for respective protests.
But in view of Ganesh Chaturthi on September 9, city police were unlikely to grant permission to any of the groups.
Meanwhile, some tension prevailed at Jalsoudha premises here after Telangana state supporters and opponents were about to clash. However, police immediately intervened and dispersed both the groups.
