Hyderabad Aces and Punjab Marshalls are set to cross swords in the final of the Champions Tennis League (CTL) to take place at the Lal Bahadur Stadium here tomorrow.
In addition to the presence of Thomas Johansson and Swiss great Martina Hingis, the host team would have the advantage of playing at home. The spectators turning up in good numbers for the CTL matches in the city have been a big support to the Hyderabad Aces.
"I think the whole team is happy to be in the final. We worked really hard. When we knew that final is going to be in Hyderabad, we were fighting even harder. We played two matches. The crowd is great. It's unbelievable atmosphere. Tomorrow is going to be even better. We are happy to be in the final. We are facing a tough team in each and every match. It's going to come down to couple of points here and there. I am really looking forward to the match," Johansson told reporters here tonight.
Complementing Hingis for playing great tennis even in the singles format, he said she helped the whole team and played a big part in Hyderabad team's success.
Johansson said each and every match is important in the tournament with the total number of points deciding the fate of the game.
Expressing happiness for his team playing the final, Punjab's Greg Rusedski said his team is keen on putting its best foot forward.
