Prasar Bharati has been allotted another Rs 200 crore in the budget under the head Investment in Public Enterprises.
The funds allotted in the budget for 2014-15 are over 12 percent increase from the amount given in the revised budget for the year 2013-14 which was Rs 2855.03 crore.
The ministry also received Rs 227.37 crore for Advertising and Visual Publicity and Rs 54.24 crore for field publicity. With elections round the corner, the government has been running different phases of Bharat Nirman campaign to highlight its achievements.
