"The company is submitting the required details sought for and continue to co-operate with the (Income Tax) department," Hatsun Agro said in a filing to the BSE.
The Income Tax officials carried out the search at the registered office and some factories and also the residence of the whole-time directors of the company from March 11 till the early morning hours of today, the filing added.
The Chennai-based company has nine plants in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. It sells liquid milk under 'Arokya' brand and a range of milk-based products under the brand Hatsun in south India. It also sells ice-creams under Arun and Ibaco brand.
