I Venkat of Eenadu group is new ABC Chairman

I Venkat, Director, Eenadu, was today unanimously elected Chairman of Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) for 2016-17.
Venkat, who is also the Chairman of Media Research Users Council (MRUC), is a past chairman of Advertising Standards Council of India, founder-member of MRUC as well as Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF).
He is on the Board of IBF, International News Media Association, Broadcast Audience Research Council and has had a long innings in the Indian Newspaper Society as a Board member.
An ABC release said Debabrata Mukherjee, Vice-President (Marketing and Commercial -- India and South West Asia, Coca Cola India, representing the Advertisers category in the Council was unanimously elected as Deputy Chairman of the ABC for the year.
