Many reports suggested that Orci, 41, would write the script and produce, but now he confirms he is only producing the next installment in 'Star Trek' movie franchise, reported Ace Showbiz.
"I'm producing, (Nothing) more or less," he wrote.
Orci also defended the movie's timeline, writing, "Stop blaming BR (Bad Robot). It was my idea so that you would not know what was gonna happen next. Nothing more or less. I Stand behind it. And it, again, is the reason why I make movies and you don't."
He was originally tapped to direct the movie after the previous two movies director J J Abrams passed on the project. 'Star Trek 3' is eyeing a July 8, 2016 release date.
