IAF airman commits 'suicide' in Chennai

A 23-year old Indian Air Force Airman allegedly shot himself to death at the Air Force station in Tambaram on the city outskirts, Defence and Police officials said today.
The airman committed suicide last night by using a firearm, they said.
"It is a case of suicide. An inquiry is on," a Defence official said but declined to divulge any further information.
Police said body of the airman had been shifted to government hospital.
Airmen are deployed on ground-based jobs in the IAF.
