Ten labourers of Navayuga Engineering Company Ltd., engaged in construction of a bridge, were stranded in the middle of the river near Bomjir village due to sudden rise in water level following torrential rain yesterday.
According to an official report today, earth-cutting machinery of the company was stuck in the river.
The Bomjir-Nizam Ghat road linking Dambuk sub-division to the district headquarters Roing has been closed due to increase in river water as a result of which surface communication to Dambuk is also cut off from all sides.
