The body of Chidananda Das, who came out of his house after receiving a call last night and was missing since then, was recovered from a drain near the Air force station under Salonibari police outpost, Sonitpur Superintendent of Police Sanjukta Parashar said here.
The family members of the deceased, who hailed from Tezpur Kacharigaon, had filed an FIR alleging that the store superintendent was murdered by unidentified persons as he came out after getting a phone call last night and was missing since then.
Defence Spokesperson Lt Col Sombit Ghosh said that the store superintendent of the IAF station was not an Air Force employee but a civilian working at the store.
