IAN partners with WAIN for access to intellectual property and

Indian Angel Network today announced a strategic partnership with WorldwideAcademia Industry Network (WAIN) aimed at gaining access topath breaking Intellectual Property and Innovation.
It will further strengthen IAN's continuous efforts in nurturing Innovation and supporting entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country, a release said.
Launched in 2016, WAIN is an initiative launched by CLEducate Limited, an edu-corporate to bring together a host ofstake holders who play a crucial role in creating a fertileinnovation ecosystem in the country.
The objective of WAIN Platform is to provide interlinked opportunities to both academic institutions and companies to work together in areas such as research and innovation, academia-industry development programs, and create an innovation ecosystem for growth in India, it said.

The partnership will enable IAN leverage access to young researchers, intellectual property and innovation talentthrough the WAIN ecosystem, it said.
Also, IAN will bring in its own expertise in providing experienced mentorship and will support WAIN in its drive to create the innovation entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country.
"With its partnership with WAIN, IAN hopes to catalyseinnovative start-ups from the universities providing themmoney, mentoring and market access," IAN Co-founder PadmajaRuparel said.
Wainconnect.com already has over 13,000 innovators including students and faculty working on over 3400 innovations, and aims to enable one million innovators by 2020.
