Rapper-actor Ice Cube has imparted a one-of-a-kind history lesson to the rap fans from his recently-released song "Only One Me".
Through the first record from his new album 'Death Certificate: 25 Anniversary Edition', the 47-year-old talks about how he inspired other popular rappers in their musical journey, reported Billboard.
"Taught Tupac how to keep it gangsta/ Taught Biggie Smalls how to release his anger/ Who came before me? Melly Mel, Ice-T/ King T, KRS, and the homie Chuck D," raps Cube.
The rapper also goes on to tell his life story of how he grew up on the West Coast in the US.
"The West Coast b---h, yeah that's all me/ With Too Short and the D R E / We made it too hard, check our family tree," he raps.
The 25th edition of the 'Death Certificate' is out this month.
