ICICI Bank, RBI organise meet to replace mutilated notes

ICICI Bank organised a special drive along with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today to help those saddled with soiled and mutilated currency notes, so that they could exchange these for coins.
The event organised at EDC House in the city, saw people trading their stock of mutilated currency notes for coins against no cost, ICICI Bank said in a statement.
The event was organised under the guidance of RBI.
More than 50 customers exchanged coins worth over Rs 5 lakh in denominations of rupees ten, five, two and one, at the event, the statement said.
