Idol found damaged

The Idol of the main deity at a
temple near Usilampatti in Madurai district was found damaged this morning, police said.
The arms of the deity--Kottaiyur Karrupusamy-- were found damaged, they said.
Armed police personnel have been sent to the area to monitor the situation.
