IFCI pays Rs 92.3 cr interim dividend to govt for 2015-16

Infrastructure lending firm IFCI Ltd has paid an interim dividend of Rs 92.3 crore to the government for 2015-16 year.
"IFCI has today handed over a dividend cheque of Rs 92.30 crore, which is 10 per cent interim dividend for 2015-16 towards 55.53 per cent of Government equity holding in IFCI, to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley", the company said in a release.
Malay Mukherjee, Chief Executive Officer of IFCI presented the cheque to the Finance Minister.
This interim dividend is of Re 1 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2015-16, it said.
In the financial year 2014-15, IFCI had paid 15 per cent dividend to the government.
For the nine months period ended December 31, 2015, IFCI earned net profit of Rs 438 crore.
Company's business assets have grown to Rs 34,715 crore as on December 31, 2015 from Rs 29,458 crore a year ago.
