The airport has received the RTS Management System - ISO 39001:2012 certification from the British agency for ensuring effective and safe traffic movement on the city side area, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), which manages the airport operations, said today.
"This certification is a testimony to our commitment towards ensuring stringent safety norms across the 41.4 km of IGIA city side road network," DIAL CEO I Prabhakar Rao said.
DIAL began the implementation of RTS Management System in May and certification body BSI conducted two rounds of in-depth assessment including road network site visits in July and August.
RTS Management System at IGIA strives to bring down traffic related road incidents, congestions leading to safe and efficient traffic management, Rao said.
