illegal arms manufacturing unit in Munger district.
Two persons have been arrested and nine automatic pistols along with 14 magazines have been seized in this connection.
Munger Superintendent of Police Barun Kumar Sinha said the illegal unit was operating near Kataria village.
"We had got a tip-off about the gun-manufacturing unit running in the area. Accordingly teams were constituted and a raid was conducted," Sinha said.
The SP added that one Mohammad Rizwan, identified as the owner of the illegal gun-manufacturing unit, managed to flee when the raid was being conducted.
"The arrested persons have been identified as Manoj Mandal and Shahgir. Mandal and Rizwan were arrested in a case of illegal weapons manufacturing in 2014 also. They had recently come out on bail," he said.
