Former Pakistani cricketer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal here today.
The two leaders discussed about their experiences in governance in their respective regions.
"We exchanged our experiences in governance in both our regions (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan) and Delhi," Khan told reporters here, after the meeting.
He said Kejriwal's experience is very similar to his.
"Our parties were formed against status quo parties. Our ideas like good governance and fighting corruption are very similar. We'll be in touch on these issues," he said.
Khan said Kejriwal has accepted his invitation to visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region in Pakistan, where his party is in power, as part of exchanging ideas on good governance.
"I also invited him to Kyber Pakhtunkhwa which he accepted," he also said.
Later, Kejriwal tweeted, "Met Imran Khan and we shared our experiences in politics. Both challenging status quo in respective countries."
Speaking on the India-Pakistan match held in Kolkata yesterday, the former Pakistani cricketer said Pakistan had got one opportunity, where they took two quick wickets (Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan). They should have finished the game off there and then but they couldn't."
"India, after last night's win, are high on morale. I hope Pakistan lift themselves after the morale-crushing defeat," he said.
