More than 1,900 persons against whom non-bailable warrants have been issued by different courts in Uttar Pradesh were arrested during a three-hour campaign of the state police.
"In a three-hour campaign launched between 7 pm and 10 pm yesterday, 1,921 persons against whom non-bailable warrants were issued by different courts were arrested," IG (Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh told reporters here.
He said 5,244 non-bailable warrants issued by courts in different cases were pending.
After the campaign, raids would be conducted to execute the remaining warrants.
