Raising the issue during Zero Hour in Lok Sabha, BJP member Prahlad Singh Patel did not take any name but expressed concern over the remark made by a member of the other House, who is also a former Chief Minister.
Patel said that while opposition was raising a controversy over some BJP leader's statement, the remarks of the Congress leader have come as a shock as he has said that naxalites should help Congress to defeat BJP.
Reports had quoted Digvijay Singh as saying that naxalites should give up violence, join the mainstream and help in defeating "communal forces" like BJP. He reportedly made this statement at a press conference in poll-bound Jharkhand, which has been suffering from Maoist menace.
There was no Congress member present as the party along with Trinamool Congress and others in the opposition had staged a walkout, dissatisfied over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement in Lok Sabha over Sadhvi's controversial remarks.
