Include HP under multi-sectoral development programme: HP Govt

Himachal Pradesh government today urged the Centre to include the state under Multi-Sectoral Development Programme for the welfare of members belonging to minority communities.
This was conveyed by the state's Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram during his meeting with Union Minority Affairs Minister Najma Heptulla in Delhi today, an official release here said.
Ram informed Heptulla that the state has not been included under this Programme as a result of which the minorities, accounting for 4.5 per cent of state's population, have not been able to derive the benefits of the scheme.
