Both the leaders discussed various bilateral and regional issues during the meeting.
"Wish is there & will is there to strengthen our bilateral ties - Minister @SushmaSwaraj to Bangladesh's President," External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
Swaraj had visited Bangladesh in June which was her first stand-alone visit after becoming External Affairs Minister.
Hamid also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and discussed issues relating to economic cooperation and connectivity between the two countries besides development of the region.
It is the first-ever visit by a ceremonial head of Bangladesh to India.
