Inaugurating an exhibition on Indian Buddhist Art at the National Museum of Tokyo, Singh said such display would help in reaffirming the civilisational ties between the two friendly countries which have endured into modern times with a legacy free of dispute, bound by converging values and interests.
The Home Minister said the exhibition by Kolkata's Indian Museum was one of the most important events of the year-long Festival of India in Japan 2014-15 organised by the Government of India, as a means to foster closer people to people relations between India and Japan.
The Home Minister is returning tomorrow after visiting Tokyo and Sendai, where he attended an international conference on disaster management.
