The credibility of the country under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has risen, with no instances of scams during his first year of rule, BJP claimed today.
"The credibility of the government and the country has increased during the first year of NDA rule. The institution of Prime Minister has also touched a new high," BJP national spokesman Nalin Kohli said while addressing media.
Talking about the achievements of Centre, he said Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana received massive response while more than 12 crore consumers of LPG got subsidy directly in their bank accounts.
"It was just a beginning and more is yet to come," he said.
The BJP leader noted that during one year of NDA rule, corruption at top level in the government had been completely eliminated.
"There was not even a single case of scam in the last one year," he said.
While attacking Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the meeting between Narendra Modi and former PM Manmohan Singh, Kohli said that Rahul had wasted ten years as he learnt nothing from Singh.
"He (Rahul) continues to be an immature person. Meeting between the present Prime minister and the former PMs is a routine matter and there was nothing new in it," he said.
Regarding the rifts in Akali-BJP relations in Punjab, the leader categorically said that it was a tested friendship.
"Small differences here and there on any issue should not be construed as confrontation or war between the two parties," he added.
