Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki today said India's development will benefit the entire world as our country always thinks about the welfare of mankind.
"India's development will benefit the entire world because our country always thinks about the welfare of entire mankind," he said before flagging off the 'Haryana Golden Jubilee One India Ride' from the Raj Bhavan here.
The 'One India Ride' expedition has been organised by the National Integrated Forum for Artists and Activists (NIFAA) under the aegis of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department and is also being supported by the 'Haryana Swarna Jayanti' celebrations committee, for fostering national integration and harmony.
Comprising 29 youths, the expedition would pass through 29 states and the five Union Territories. They would plant a sapling in each state capital city as a symbol of the Swarna Jayanti Year of Haryana.
The expedition would also gather soil and water from each state and use them to plant a sapling in Haryana on its return as a symbol of national integration, Solanki said.
Earlier, Chairman NIFAA Pritpal Singh Pannu said the expedition would cover a 15,000-km journey via road in 32 days.
