The next year's draws will be announced in Santiago on the conclusion of the International Tennis Federation's (ITF) Annual General Meeting.
While India have been seeded number one, Uzbekistan are second in the zone and the two countries will get first round byes, to be held in March, in the 2016 season.
World No. 21 India and Uzbekistan, ranked 25th, were the two seeded teams of the zone in 2015. India failed to make the World Group after going down to Czech Republic in their play-off tie recently.
India lost their World Group Play-off tie to World No.1 Czech Republic 1-3 at the DLTA courts here and that resulted in them remaining in the Asia/Oceania zone.
The Indian team could have entered the elite 16 nations of the World Group if they had defeated three-time champions Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, current season's finalists -- Great Britain and Belgium -- have been seeded No. 1 and 2 for the 2016 World Group.
