An Indian man, sentenced to death for killing his wife with the help of his Pakistani friend, has confessed to murdering another woman, a media report said today.
The 23-year-old Indian man identified only by the initials AQ and his 28-year-old Pakistani friend, RA, were found guilty of strangling his wife before putting her body in a garbage bag and leaving it in Al Fuqa'a area here in March 2013.
When the Dubai Police were questioning the man about his wife's murder, they felt he was hiding something, an Arabic daily reported.
They then used professional questioning techniques that led him to confess to the crime, Maj Gen Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, Dubai Police Chief, told the daily.
He admitted to murdering an East European prostitute with the help of his Pakistani friend, four years before murdering his wife.
He was taken to the spot near the place where he had dumped his wife's body and he re-enacted the crime.
The murder of the East European woman had been a mystery for Dubai Police as there was insufficient evidence to identify the culprit.
The first murder was also committed by both AQ and RA. The two men now await sentencing for their second crime.
The husband was the primary suspect in his wife's murder as he left the country soon after the body was discovered. Dubai Police then convinced him to come back and he was arrested on his arrival.
