Indian Navy to conduct 'Open Windsurfing Championship'

The Indian Navy will conduct an 'Open Windsurfing Championship' at Hawaii beach, Dona Paula in the state beginning tomorrow.
The championship, being organised by Indian Naval Watermanship Training Center, Goa in association with Goa Beach Sports Academy under the burgee of the Indian Sailing Association, will be held till April 17, an official release said.
In order to boost water sport activities, the Navy has established a Windsurfing Node at Chicalim bay, Vasco-da-Gama to train the Windsurfing Team.
Wind Surfers from all parts of the country are expected to take part in the championship, it added.
