Satwant Kaur was employed as a secretary by Redstar Marine Consultants when she had allegedly pocketed cash cheques worth between SGD 35,070 and SGD 371,619 from the company.
Kaur was charged with eight counts of misappropriating funds, the court said.
The alleged offences took place between April 2005 and August 2012, according a report by The Straits Times.
The prosecution has asked for four weeks' adjournment, saying Kaur would be facing more charges under the Corruption, Drug Trafficking and Other Serious Crimes (Confiscation of Benefits) Act, it said.
