Indian women spikers lose in the quarters

Indian women spikers went down to a formidable Chinese side in straight games in the women's quarterfinal match of the volleyball competition, to bow out of the Asian Games here today.
The Indian eves lost 3-0 (25-11 25-12 25-10) against their more fancied opponents in a contest that lasted 54 minutes at Songnim Gymnasium here.
For India, Rekha S was the top-scorer with seven points. She earned all seven from spike.
For China, Xiaoya Zhang scored maximum of 13 points, while Zhang Changning, Liu Yanhan and Qi Wang hit 10 points each to completely outplay India.
