The delegation from the Regional House of Representatives led by Speaker of Dewan Perwakilan Daerah (DPD) Senator H Irman Gusman discussed issues of common interest with Mahajan.
Welcoming the delegation, Mahajan said both India and Indonesia have imbibed democratic values and both countries have an unflinching faith in democracy.
She said that Indonesia, like India, is a large democracy which is multi-ethnic, multi-lingual and pluralistic.
The Speaker highlighted the multidimensional cooperation between India and Indonesia and emphasised the role of parliamentary diplomacy in further strengthening bilateral relations.
