Indoor stadium in Coimbatore by this year end

The proposed indoor stadium to come up at a cost of Rs 3.85 crore on a 5.63 acre site in the city is expected to be ready by the end of this year, Tamil Nadu School Education and Sports Minister Ma Foi Pandiarajan said today.
He along with minister for Municipal Administration, S P Velumani inspected the progress of the work at the site.
The stadium, with international standards, will have swimming pool, volleyball and tennis grounds, facility for athletics and other indoor games, Pandiarajan said adding the officials had been asked to complete the project by year end.
The Minister also interacted with students undergoing training at the Nehru Stadium here.
