Industrial groups inform MP CM about plans to set up projects

Various industrial groups have evinced their interest in setting up projects in Madhya Pradesh, it was officially announced here today.
During an interaction with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mine Corp India Chairman Sajid Khan informed his company's plan to set up a stone processing unit in the state at an estimated capital investment of Rs 1,100 crore, according to an official release.
The availability of better quality sandstone, granite and marble in Madhya Pradesh prompted the company to set up a unit in the state, which is expected to employ 4,000 people, the release said, adding that it would export finished products.
Chouhan directed state officials to grant permissions to the company transparently through the single window system, the release said.
In a related development, Director of Palladam Hi-tech Weaving's Director V Rajkumar evinced interest in establishing a Rs 500-crore high-tech textile park project in Madhya Pradesh which would have 100 weaving units and employ about 5,000 people, the release said.
The MP CM directed his officials that the company should be shown proposed places for the project today itself, the release said.
In a similar development, a senior executive of Ultratech Cement R M Gupta met the MP CM and informed him about plans to set up a greenfield cement project at Satna at a capital investment of about Rs 3,000 crore, which would employ about 5,000 people, the release said.
