Industrial oils witness downtrend

Castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial witnessed for the third straight session at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on reduced demand from soaps and shippers industries.
Groundnutoil and refined palmolein recovered owing to renewed demand from stockists and retailers.
Meanwhile, linseeds oil ruled steady in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold slumped by Rs 185 per 100 kg to Rs 4,150 from Monday's close Rs 4,335 and castoroil commercial dipped by Rs 37 per 10 kg to Rs 860 as against Rs 897 yesterday.
Linseeds oil ended unaltered at Rs 800 per 10 kg.

Moving to edible segment, groundnut oil moved up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 955 as compared yesterday's close Rs 950 and refined palmolein edged up by Rs 3 per 10 kg to Rs 630 from Rs 627.
