Indian National Lok Dal today announced that its activists will start the digging of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) canal on February 23.
"INLD activists across Haryana will gather at Ambala and then march towards Punjab border on February 23 to dig the SYL canal," party leader Abhay Chautala said here.
He said that SYL is lifeline of Haryana and even the Supreme Court has given its verdict in favour of Haryana.
Chautala alleged that the ruling BJP, and Congress are not serious for the construction of SYL canal.
Meanwhile, some radical organisations in Punjab had already announced to assemble at Kapoori in Patiala to thwart the construction of SYL.
