Intel has evolved immensely over the years from being a chip maker to a complete technology solutions provider, said a senior official of Intel Corporation.
Intel Corporation, Director, Worldwide Distribution, Sales and Marketing Group Dave Powell said Intel has evolved into providing solutions for cloud computing, retail, small and medium enterprises, education and many more areas.
He was here to attend Intel Channel Symposium (ICS) which was held today.
"Our focus has also branched out from traditional personal computers, to 2 in 1s, tablets, phones, servers and intelligent systems.
One of the main areas of focus this year is Intel's 2014 desktop strategy which aims to reinvigorate the category through compelling new products, reinvent the category through new factors like the Next Unit of Computing (a cost effective 4x4 inch computer without hard disk and memory) and portable All in Ones and lastly remodel the category through brand new usage models and experiences," he added.
A release quoting Powell said, " as we evolve, Intel Technology Providers (ITPs) will continue to be a critical part of our progress in India, where we have one of the longest running channel programs."
"This year through the Intel Channel Symposium we aim to connect with our ITPs and outline the various growth opportunities as well as update them about our product and solutions roadmaps.
"We are also heading for a revenue sharing model for the ITPs in which he plan to gradually involve tens of thousands of them," he said.
