However, Shimla and Dharamsala were warmer and recorded minimum temperatures of 7.8 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature rose marginally in Keylong in tribal Lahaul and Spiti district which recorded a low of - 9.3C, while Manali and Kalpa recorded a low of -3.4C and - 2.4C, followed by Bhuntar -1.5C, Sundernagar -0.3C, Solan 1.0C, Una 3.0C and Palampur 4.0C.
