The transition of all international flights from the existing terminal to the T2 will begin with the arrival of the Air India flight from Singapore (AI-343) scheduled at 1300 hours on February 12, Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) said in a release here.
However, private carrier Jet Airways' London-Heathrow service will be the first flight to take off from the new terminal at 1320 hours, for which check-in counters will open at 0920 hours, it said.
Similarly, flights arriving before 12 noon will be at the old terminal and all arrivals after 12 noon will be at the new Terminal 2, the release said, adding that the old terminal will be closed for operations from 2 pm onwards.
Domestic terminal flights and transfers will not have any impact of this transition, it added.
During the last few weeks since its inauguration, the terminal underwent a comprehensive security sweep as well as the final stages of ORAT (Operational Readiness Activation and Transition).
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had on January 10 inaugurated the spanking new four-storey glass marvel, whose design has been inspired by a dancing peacock.
