The annual fixture between the domestic champions has been shifted from the beginning of the season to the latter half from last season by BCCI.
The Ranji knockout games - comprising four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the final - will be played at venues to be identified by the Ground and Pitches Committee, of the BCCI in consultation with the Chairman of the Technical Committee.
Quarter finals: Jan 8-12, 2014; Semi finals: Jan 18-22 and Final: Jan 29-Feb 2.
Irani Cup: 2013-14 Ranji Trophy champions v Rest: Feb 9-13.
The Col. C K Nayudu juniors' tournament will commence on October 28 and conclude on January 12 after the four-day final.
The league phase of the tournament would see the teams divided into elite and plate groups similar to what was the format for Ranji Trophy a few seasons ago.
