In a shocking incident, a Bangladeshi woman allegedly killed the child of her tenant by throwing him on the floor after she got irritated by the toddler's cries.
The toddler, Hafizur Sheikh, was yesterday crying in a room of his house when an angry Nupur Begum came in and threw him on the hard ground, hurting his head and chest, a police official quoted the child's family as saying.
The boy was rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Hafizur's father is a rickshaw-puller and the family used to live in a rented room in southcentral Barishal city at a house owned by Nupur's husband.
The woman is on the run since the incident and authorities are trying to catch her, bdnews24.Com quoted the police official as saying.
