The kids who received the National Bravery awards, for their outstanding acts of valour by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were invited yesterday to showcase the incredible 1,000-year journey of rise, fall and shaping of the capital city through a spectacular Sound and Light show "Ishq-e-Dilli" by the India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
Ishq-e-Dilli, a state-of-the-art multi-media show on a gigantic scale, takes viewers through an interesting story of a bygone era, narrating the capital's journey from the period of Prithvi Raj Chauhan to the modern Delhi which runs the Metro.
Master Akhil from Hyderabad, who saved his mother from electric shock, said, "The graphics, laser, audio-video, light and sound effects were a delight. It was entertaining as well as informative. I have never seen anything like this before."
The Sound and Light show at the Purana Quila is a major attraction for visitors to Delhi.
This year, 25 children were selected by the Indian Council for Child Welfare for National Bravery Awards. These children hailing from different regions have received the award from Prime Minister and will be part of the Republic Day Parade.
