The court of Special Chief Judicial Magistrate Sanjay Singh yesterday passed the order placing Eizaz in judicial custody for 14 days, ATS Circle Officer Ankit Kumar said here today.
Following a medical examination of the alleged spy, UP Special Task Force (STF) and local police presented him in court amidst tight security, Kumar said.
Meanwhile, the local Sadar police has sought a seven-day remand of Eizaz for interrogation for which a hearing would be held in the court on Monday, he added.
Earlier, during interrogation, Eizaz said that four persons from Kolkata -- Mohammad Irshad, his two brothers Irfan and Jehangir, and son Ashfaque Ansari -- had provided him with shelter and support, Kumar said.
All the four persons have been booked in this connection, the CO said, adding that efforts are on to arrest them.
Eizaz, alias Mohammad Kalam, a resident of Taramadi Chowk, Irfanabad, Islamabad, Pakistan, was arrested on Friday by a STF team from the Meerut Cantt area when he was on his way to Delhi.
The suspected agent had revealed that in 2012, he came in contact with ISI, which trained him to work in India. He was allegedly tasked with sending information about Indian army from western UP and Uttarakhand.
