Isuzu Motors India today inked a pact with Andhra Pradesh government to facilitate investment by its suppliers in the state.
The company today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Andhra Pradesh government to facilitate investment by its suppliers in the state, Isuzu Motors India said in a statement.
Under the Andhra Pradesh government's 'Automobile and Auto Component policy 2015-20' the auto component companies will receive various incentives and concessions from the state government for promoting automotive manufacturing in the state.
"We believe the policy for Automobile and Auto Components 2015-20 will immensely benefit the automobile sector, going forward," Isuzu Motors India, Managing Director Takashi Kikuchi said.
While automobile and auto component manufacturers will benefit from the advantages laid out by the policy, it will also attract substantive and qualitative investment into the state, he added.
Isuzu is coming up with a manufacturing plant in Sri City, Chitoor District, Andhra Pradesh. The facility is likely to commence commercial operations by early 2016, with an initial production capacity at 50,000 units per year.
