"We have conducted surveys at around three premises of Omkar Developers and are going though their books to see if there is any tax evasion," said a senior IT official.
According to him, many more builders and developers are under their scanner and searches will take place in the due course of time.
Confirming the development, the company said in a statement that "the survey procedure is regular and it is conducted by authorities across a multitude of real estate companies and corporates in the city. Omkar Group has always ensured that all financial and tax processes have been adhered to, as per government guidelines.
