Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao today inaugurated an incubation centre in Warangal which aims to provide hassle-free environment to startups and IT companies.
The IT Incubation Centre is funded by the state government and constructed by Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation over an area of two acres with a total built up area of 15,000 sq ft to enable startups and micro, small and medium IT companies to operate in a 'plug-and-play' and hassle-free environment, a release said.
"This IT Incubation Centre will provide direct and indirect IT employment to 1,000 educated youths of Warangal," it stated.
Rao also laid the foundation stone of Cyient's new facility in Warangal.
Cyient (formerly Infotech Enterprises Limited) will be establishing a state-of-the-art Software Development Center in Madikonda IT SEZ of TSIIC.
The facility will support Cyient's worldwide digital technology initiatives, including those in Internet of Things, big data, analytics and smart cities.
"Set in a sprawling five-acre campus, the planned Cyient Development Center will cover an area of 70,000 square feet, supported by high-speed data networks for real-time online transactions. Initially, the facility will commence operations in April 2016 at the incubation center of TSIIC," the release added.
