The opening day of the three-day programme, which will feature an eclectic combination of Carnatic music besides Hindustani classical, will be held at Victoria Memorial where violin legend L Subramaniam will be honoured, the ITC Sangeet Research Academy Executive Director Ravi Srinivasan said here today.
ITC SRA Gurus Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, Pandit Uday Bhawalkar, Vidushi Subhra Guha besides Pandit Arun Bhaduri, Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan & Pandit Partha Chatterjee and Victoria Memorial secretary and Curator Dr Jayanta Sengupta were also present with Srinivasan at the media conference.
The next two days of the Sammelan will be held at the ITC SRA lawn with performances from Vidushi Subhra Guha, Pandit Pushparaj Koshti and from rising stars of Hindustani Classical music like Shashank Maktedar, Arshad Ali Khan, Deborshee Bhattacharjee, Saket Sahu, Debasmita Bhattacharya.
