"There are people from our side and from the media who have raised their voice against militancy. They way people from our department have laid their lives in the line of duty in the same way people from media have also sacrificed their lives," Prasad said while paying a tribute to photojournalist, Ashok Sodhi, on his fifth death anniversary.
Prasad saluted the Sodhi's sacrifice and wished that people maintain the high standards set by him.
Sodhi laid down his life in the line of service while covering the Samba encounter in the year 2008.
Meanwhile, a photo exhibition was also organised to commemorate his death, which also visited by Deputy Chief Ministe Tara Chand, who paid rich tributes to the late journalist.
