Inspector General of Border Security Force, Jammu Frontier, D K Upadhayay today called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the security situation along the entire International Border (IB), which falls in the Jammu region.
During the meeting, Vohra stressed on the need for surveillance being effectively enhanced along the IB and the counter infiltration grid enforced stringently throughout the ensuing winter period, an official spokesman said.
The Governor also discussed with the IG his concerns regarding the need to take all required steps to provide support and relief to the border dwellers affected by the recurring ceasefire violations by the Pakistan forces.
