British author J K Rowling says the upcoming "Harry Potter" spin-off "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will be followed by four more movies.
During a Facebook Live Global Fan event, the 51-year-old screenwriter announced that the "Fantastic Beasts" movie franchise, previously planned as a trilogy, will now span five movies, reported AceShowbiz.
"(Director David Yates) has told you that we do tell about Dumbledore and Grindelwald (in the movie). I can say one thing. We were doing some script sessions the other day, and I can tell you that we always knew it was going to be more than one movie.
"We knew that from the start. So, we set a trilogy as a sort of placeholder, because we knew there would be more than one movie. But we've now, I've now done the plotting properly, so we're pretty sure it's going to be five movies," she said.
Rowling posted a series of tweets in which she also told her fans that she has almost done writing the script for the second movie.
"I'm the screenwriter. Currently putting the finishing touches to the second one," she wrote.
The first "Fantastic Beasts" movie starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler and Colin Farrell will hit US theatres on November 18.
