Former Lok Sabha Speaker Balram Jhakar, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Syed, former Supreme Court Chief Justice S H Kapadia, former Army Chief Krishna Rao, CPI leader A B Bardhan, litterateur Ravindra Kalia, classical dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai, cartoonist Sudhir Tailang, poet Nida Fazli and actress Sadhana were also remembered for excellent contribution in their respective fields.
