She was admitted to a hospital following a heart attack a few days ago, an official release said.
Das said Nalini was a religious woman and prayed for patience to the bereaved family members at this sorrowful hour.
She is survived by sons Atul and Amit Khare.
Her last rites were performed at Harmu ghat here. Home Secretary N N Pandey, Additional Chief Secretary R K Srivastav, Additional Chief Secretary P K Jajoria and several other senior officials bade farewell to the departed soul.
